My Nephew

I do apologise but I have to post an update of this gorgeous little man. These are some photos taken today. He was wide awake and looked so grown up with his eyes opened. He is a true poser -which is just as well.

The Soccer Season has Finished

Well the soccer season has officially ended. Both boys had a great year.
I thought that I might be quietly happy about this but I actually enjoyed the season as well. For me this means that I now have 4 nights a week free - as they use to train these nights, as well as Saturday free. I won't know what to do with myself.

Luke lost today 1-0. He changed positions today and he nearly scored a goal.
Ben won 1-0 and he scored the team's only goal.
It was just beautiful out in the sunshine. What a lovely day. I got some good shots of Ben's game.

Ben got Man of the Match. His certificate read "Congratulations on a fantastic 1st year of Soccer. You have a bright soccer future to look forward to."

Little Lockie

Here is my beautiful little nephew. I simply can not get enough of him. I got some really cute photos of him on Friday. I played with him for ages and he just kept going back to sleep. I must apologise now as he is my new addiction. Just love him to bits.

I Am Published

Here is the other layout that was published in Scrapbook Creations Issue 69. It was for a journalling feature. I had so many beautiful photos of Missy's wedding and so this layout helped me to use all of the ones that I wanted to as well as journal about her special day.

Bizarre

Ok so it has been an interesting week. I have had the good, the bad and the ugly happen to me. The week has left me kind of saying - "What The." So on Monday I found out that Dad had a stroke. I felt terrible being so far away and unable to be with him. Apparently he is OK but I still feel that his time is very limited. So I will organise to go and visit him in the next month or so.

The good was spending time with my little nephew. He is just so beautiful. Such a content baby. School was also busy but good. A lot of new families moving into the area.

Now for the ugly - well I know that this may sound a little unbelievable but I ran over a sting ray when I was picking the boys up on Wednesday afternoon. I didn't know that I had and when we were walking back to the car the boys were saying that there was a sting ray on the road. I told them not to be silly that it was probably a squashed lizard because I could clearly see the tail. Well on closer inspection we found out that it was in fact a sting ray. We walked back to the car and Luke said that something smelt fishy and I said that it was probably the boat that I could see. I told him that it was probably the boat that lost the sting ray. So we drove home. When we got home Luke said that he could still smell the horrible smell and I once again told him not to be silly. When I went around to his side of the car I too could smell a fishy smell. So I started to inspect the car and saw that I had sting ray guts hanging off my mud flap. I spent the afternoon hosing this off. Then I had to scoop the left overs up. Unbelievable I know BUT it happened. Something that could only happen to me. This whole event made me laugh and laugh and laugh some more. I guess God has a sense of humour!!!! (and that it OK just stop using it on me).

The problem with this whole story is that it is really hard to tell people as it is so unbelievable. The next afternoon I took photos of the culprit on my phone. I wish that I could transfer then to this. LOL

So the next time you think why me - consider why the bloody hell not!!!!!!

They Make Me Laugh

Today was a good day. I mostly spent it with Michelle and my new little nephew which was lovely. I got home this afternoon and the boys were content playing outside. Night fell and it was shower time. Luke had a shower and Ben wanted a bath. After Luke had his shower I had one while Ben was having a bath. Ben was in a cheeky mood and up to mischief. He threw a cold washer at me in the shower. He decided to get out and he was up at the shower recess and poked his tongue out at me I returned the gesture. Then I continued having my shower and was washing some face wash off - when I turned around there was his little bum stuck up against the glass staring me in the face. LOL - seriously what happened to my little boy???? It was the last thing that I was expecting.

The night went on and we had a baked dinner - yummy. Next Luke said that he was cold. He went to his bedroom and when he returned he was laughing. When I looked he had his dressing gown on back to front and professing that he had a new snuggy. Oh he made me laugh and his bum was hanging out like I assume it would in a snuggy.

My boys and their wicked sense of humour - where do they get it from?????

I just love this dance. Karen is very lucky that I hadn't seen the dance down the aisle before her wedding. She did a great job on their bridal waltz.
