A Share

Just thought that I might share a little of the work that I have been doing. I have really enjoyed working with the Basic Grey Paper.
These photos were taken on holidays a couple of years ago. Iluka is such a beautiful place and it is fairly quite. One of my lucky sisters gets to call this plave her home.
Took on a bit of weaving in this layout - something a little different. Love this photo taken on the riverbank. Uncle Jimmy was teaching Luke to fiish. We all had a great time fishing as we were catching a lot of little fish that needed to be thrown back in. We didn't care as it was teaching the boys how to feel when the fish bite.
Quite like this layout of Benny. It is not the best photo of the layout.

What else has been happening? Well Benny is finally well again and I thought that Luke may be coming down with it. I have had some major headaches this week - 2 that really stand out!! It hasn't been the best week but it is starting to pick up. Only a couple of weeks until the holidays - just hanging in there. Sick of reading Reports. Guess that I should thank my lucky stars that I didn't have to write some too. To all of my teaching friends - nearly there-hang in there.

To Belinda - hope that you enjoyed your weekend away. Linked to Bloglines and NOW I see your problem. Spent too much time on there already. Maybe we can get 2 lots of therapy for the price of one. Looking forward to see all of the beautiful work that you produce.

The Athletics Carnival - Jun 08

On Friday we had Luke's Athletics Carnival. He did really well. He ran the 5th in the 800m, 3rd in the 100m and 4th in the 200m. He went OK in Long Jump. We had a really good day. Luke was completely into the team warcry. I really enjoyed the day. Luke wasn't really all that happy with his results. I think that he expected to do better. We are completely proud of his achievement and I gently tried to explain that you can't come first in everything. It upsets me the pressure that he puts on himself.
Soccer this Week- OK it was a 2 all draw. We scored our first 2 goals for the season. I hope that it keeps going from here and that their confidence continues to grow. The funny thing was that I wasn't there to witness the event as Benny was very sick and I was at home taking care of him. Go Kemps Creek!!!
Sick - Poor Benny started to throw up at 1am on Saturday morning. He threw up every 20 minutes and neither of us got any sleep. It is now 6pm and he is still throwing up. He is my little star though as he hasn't complained at all. He does what he has to and then goes back to bed. Kids are truly resilient. Earlier today he was sitting on the toilet with his head in his hands. That picture was worth a thousand words BUT I couldn't bring myself to take a photo at that point. He was going through enough. So I thought that I would post this cute little photo of a well Ben. Get better my little angle.

A Boy and His Toy and My Star of the Week

Just had to post these photos. Ben received this monkey for his birthday and hasn't really put it down since then. He loves it! It is one of those ones that connect around your neck or waste. Every night when he falls asleep I have to go in and undo it so that it doesn't choke him. Ben really loves monkeys - funny that as sometimes I thing that he is part of the monkey family. Thanks Aunty Belinda for the coolest toy. You couldn't have found a better one. These photos are just too cute.

Luke is the Star of Week in his class. Each week they vote for the student of the week and that child then gets to take the trophy home and gets to present to the class all of their favourite things. This is only the second week that it has been running in his class and it went to a girl last week. I think that it may be a popularity contest as your peers vote for you. Just the same we are really proud of you Luke and the trophy has been shared with the family. Well done son!

PS. Belinda, How cool was the movie????? Bet that you loved it.

Here's to The Best Friends A Girl Could Ask For

Today I went to see Sex In The City and really enjoyed it. It was a great movie and one that I will buy on DVD. Girls you are just going to love it (and Belinda you are just have to watch the movie and no one is telling you!!!). I just wanted to acknowledge all of my beautiful friends - I love you dearly! You have got me through thick and thin. I am very lucky to be surrounded by so many beautiful girls - I know that I am blessed. There are so many more than those in the photos (but they are photos that I could easily lay my hands on).

My Sex in the City Girls - yes we have a little group that is very similar. We have been through Uni together, taught together, partied together, got in loads of trouble together, laughed till we cried together, drank impossible amounts together and we have seen each other through. Between us we have been through engagement, dating, weddings, illness, divorce, infidelity, IVF, children and so much more. Watching the movie only made me think of you guys and how much I treasure you. I know that our friendship can stand the test of time as we have already been through so much (and I am sure that there is still a stack more to come). I know that within our friendship there is never anything that we can't share - no secret too big - no problems too large to share.

As for the Sex In the City roles that we play well I don't know who is who??????? What I do know is that you really are beautiful friends and I love you guys. Thanks for always being there.
