The Holidays Are Here - Yipee!

OK the holidays are here and I am so glad. This term was a long hard haul and I only just made it through. I had a major flu that knocked me around for a month and then the boys were sick on and off for weeks. Then Luke had issues at school and had the lump behind his ear from being hit. Then there was the neighbour dispute and me playing nurse and then Chris cut himself and ended up with stitches. Next it was Ben who fell and hit his head and gave himself a huge egg on the back of his head. Ben had to have a CT and a skull X-ray - both came back fine, which was good. Then there was the incident where Chris thought that he was helping out and abused someone that he should not of. And these are just the highlights of the term. Man I thought that I was going around the twist. Anyway I come ou the other end. Next term has to be better.

Then my next challenge was to relieve as Principal. I did this for 4 weeks. It was a bit like a whirlwind!!! We got through. Belinda you are a gem and I could have only done it with your help. I made it through a few notifications, a few suspensions, a staff complaint, a Principal's PARS Meeting and far too many emails. I really enjoyed the opportunity and it was nice to have all of the positive feedback from staff.

The Highlight of My Week
The highlight of my week was when the staff put on a Morning Tea to Thank Me and I was given a beautiful bunch of flowers. I really wasn't expecting it and it was nice to be acknowledged. Team Bonnyrigg are just gorgeous - so many wonderful people. Sitting in the big chair made me realise that you are only as good as the team that you work with and we have a super team.

What was your highlight of the week??? Here is some more Homework for you all - only because you responded so well to the last piece of homework that I gave you. Leave a comment regarding your highlight.

Mel - you made me cry with your beautiful message. Thank you! I treasure you just as much. I have so many beautiful memories of you. You are a dear friend and we have been through thick and thin. I will ring you to see when we can catch up. Love Ya!!!

Leave Me A MEMORY

OK I got brave and blogged a photo of ME at Michelle's wedding- I only did this as this entry is about memories and I guess that we would like people to remember us at our best. I am sitting here smiling as I am reminising about all of the good times I have had over the years. I'm sure that I could write a book about the crazy things I have been involved in and OK maybe instigated. There are so many times where I have laughed until I cried - and that is what life is about!!!

Well I was reading Bel's blog and found this challenge which I thought sounded like a little fun. I thought that it also might help me as this point remember some of the fun times. I think remembering the good times it a wonderful thing to do and there have been some memorable moments (now once again Kylie I would like you to take it easy in this section as I have just as much on you!!!!). Mel if you are reading I don't think that it is necessary to get the house diary out and Michelle people don't want to know how I have scarred you. Dan be careful with your memories as we are meant to have a history.
Here’s how you play:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don’t want to play on your blog, or if you don’t have a blog, I’ll leave my memory of you in my comments.

SO PLEASE leave me a memory........PLEASE
Lots of Love

Father's Day Photos

Father's Day this year we went down for a play at the beach. The kids had a ball and ended up completely saturated - even when they weren't really in their swimmers or prepared. They had a ball. I love th beach - the kids always have a ball when we are there.
It was a great day - it was good just to get out as a family. This doesn't happen all that often anymore as life is too busy. Need to plan more outings.
Love to All

Luke's Photography

Look at these gorgeous photos of little Amira. I just love them and they make me smile. The funny thing was that I was making her laugh and Luke grabbed the camera and started taking photos without me saying anything. He only took about 8 photos BUT they were all like this - just gorgeous. Maybe letting him use the camera was a smart move - he is good. How cute is she. Little Amira has been through so much lately but it just goes to show how resilient kids are. This little one could smile beyond all that was happening in her life. Little ONE I pray that the rest of your life will be smoother and that you will experience less conflict.
Love Always

Hello World - This is ME

Well Hello There Everyone!!! I'm back. Man oh man - life has been full of some interesting challenges of recent times. Some of which I haven't been able to honestly blog - so I have had to stay away for a little while AND to be honest I haven't been in a bloggin mood - BUT I am back. Lucky for my two beautiful boys. They are my world - they keep me going and at the end of a hard day are the ones who appreciate you. I love these photos of the kids in the bath - Ben's cheeky eyes just make me smile and the little gap in his teeth and the bubbles is just priceless.

So since I last blogged there have been a number of interesting events. Chris cut his hand opened as he was cutting up a leg of lamb and being the cave man that he is then argued with me about the fact that he needed medical attention. Anyway I won and 6 stitches later he still has a sore hand. The stitches are yet to come out. They were even worried about nerve damage so I think that he was quite lucky.

School has been challenging as I have been in the big chair. I am not particularly sure that I like the big chair as it too comes with daily challenges. I have certainly had to put my negotiation skills into practice. Thank GOD for Belinda who has just been amazing. Bel, I love you dearly and enjoy working with you - we some how manage to laugh our way through the daily dramas that arise. I think that maybe I could sit in the big chair if she was my right hander. Anyway I don't have to worry about that decision NOW and I will happily hand the role back next term. I am sure that we could write a Soap Opera out of the daily events at our workplace.

I just want to say a huge thank you to all of my gals. To all of my friends - you are the ones that have got me through the tough times. You know who you are - I would name you BUT I don't wish to forget anyone. Thank GOD for friends because for as much SHIT as I have been dealt lately I realise that the friends that I have far outway any of it. I cherish each and everyone of you. Your thoughts and kind words have meant so much. I am extremely grateful to have so many beautiful friends that are always there. Mind you some of my stories have provided you with some entertainment (Kylie I am talking to you now). Yes I think that I will be OK and that you may not have to visit me wearing a white jacket. A sincere THANKS to all of YOU!!! I LOVE You!!!

Love To All
